Regional bidding allows DSPs to bid on traffic that is geographically closer to Index Exchange (Index)'s ad servers. This helps reduce latency and timeouts. To set up regional bidding, contact your Index Representative. Index supports regional bidding in the following two ways:
- The DNS returns the DSP URLs based on IPs closest in proximity to the ad server sending the request.
- A separate URL is called for each of the following locations. These URLs are separate from the DSP URLs and are called based on the ad server closest to the bidder.
- North America, east coast
- North America, west coast
- EU (Europe)
- APAC (Asia, Pacific, and Africa Collections)
