The buyer seat ID is not appearing in the Buyer seat ID drop-down list when creating a deal

A buyer seat ID is an identifier for the buyer that a DSP is representing and placing bids on behalf of. When you create a deal, you can specify the buyer seat ID if you want to restrict the deal to a specific buyer. It is recommended that you specify a buyer seat ID for all deals but a buyer seat ID is required for the following DSPs:

  • The Trade Desk

  • Google Display & Video 360

  • Xandr

  • Quantcast

If a buyer seat ID is not listed in the Buyers seat ID drop- down list when you are creating a Marketplace Package, it needs to be mapped to Index. Contact your Index Representative with the following information:

  • DSP Seat ID

  • Seat Name

My deal ID has not synchronized to the DSP

For some DSPs, Index must synchronize deal IDs with the DSP before a buyer can target the deal.

Search the DSP using the Index deal ID to locate the deals. If you can find it, review that the seat ID is correct in the deal set up.

After a deal has been accepted by the buyer, we recommend that you do not change the assigned seat IDs.

You have a buyer that wants to run a campaign that includes sensitive content

Sensitive content may be allowed onto the Exchange if the ads meet Index Exchange’s standards for the particular restricted content category. The standards for each category vary, but in general, the standards include parameters such as geographic area, age controls, responsible-use language, and a lack of certain types of imagery or content.

For more information about ad quality and sensitive content, see Reviewing ad quality.

If your Marketplace Package promotes ads with sensitive content, contact your Index Representative to receive guidance on how you can reach your deal's goals and work with supply partners that allow some sensitive content.
