Signaling STV inventory in OpenRTB bid requests

To best signal your video supply to buyers with STV budgets, you will need to pass the following required objects and attributes. For better monetization of your inventory, we strongly recommend that you pass as many attributes as possible to describe your inventory. We have included a list of recommended attributes that you can pass. For a complete list of supported attributes for each object, see List of supported OpenRTB bid request fields for sellers.

The App object specifies that the ad supported content is in a non-browser application.

    Note: Index requires that all STV publishers pass a bundle ID for each application. If your STV application does not have a bundle ID, see the IAB's OTT/CTV Store Assigned App Identification Guidelines.

Note: Specify the w (width) and h (height) of the video player in pixels. The following are common screen resolutions:

  • 2160p(UHD), w = 3840 or 4096 and h = 2160
  • 1080p(HD), w = 1920 and h = 1080
  • 720p(SD), w = 1280 and h = 720
