Reporting updates

Index UI updates

As a part of the Index UI enhancements, we have made the following updates:

  • New Account Settings screen: When you log in to the Index UI, you will see a new Account Settings option on the left navigation pane.This replaces the old My Accounts screen that showed the user's profile, opt-ins, and ads.txt entry.For more information about the available settings, see Index UIのアカウント設定を確認・変更する.

  • New API Access screen: We added a new API Access option which allows you to generate an API key to access our APIs.You can access it by clicking your publisher name at the top-right corner of the Index UI and then clicking API Access.

Floor types and floor status deprecation notice

As of October 31, 2021 the following floor types will be deprecated and can no longer be set in the Index UI or Publisher API:

  • Audience type

  • DSP

  • DSP by buyer

  • Frequency (domain depth)

The floor type status option Override will also be deprecated at this time.

Existing floors of these types will be removed.Make sure all of your Index UI and related API configurations are updated to reflect these changes.

Update to the tagid field passed in the bid request

We will now pass the same tagid that the publisher includes in the tagid field of the BidRequest.imp object to DSPs, instead of Index Exchange (Index)'s representation of it.The tagid is used to identify a specific ad placement or ad tag that was used to initiate the auction.tagid applies only to traffic coming from server-to-server and Google Open Bidding integrations.If no tagid is specified, we will pass our own site ID instead.

Seller-defined audiences support

We now support the following objects to allow sellers to pass additional information to DSPs:

  • user.data[].name, user.data[].ext and user.data.segment[]

  • site.content.data[].name, site.content.data[].ext and site.content.data.segment[]

  • app.content.data[].name, app.content.data[].ext and app.content.data.segment[]

New Deals API

The new Deals API allows publishers to view, create, and manage their Private Marketplace deals that they have negotiated with buyers.With the new Deals API, publishers can perform the necessary tasks to create a deal, including:

  • Create an inventory group to group site tags together for deal targeting

  • Configure deal settings, including inventory and targeting settings

  • Retrieve targeting information and apply it to a deal

New source.ext fields in bid requests sent to DSPs

Index Exchange (Index) will now include the sourceType and sourceOrigin fields in the bid request source.ext object sent to DSPs.These fields indicate where the impression opportunity came from.

Reporting tools deprecation notice

Index Exchange (Index) will be deprecating the following two reporting tools on September 30th, 2021:

  • Domo: All publisher access to Domo.

  • Custom Reports in the Index UI and Publisher API: The legacy Custom Reports screen in the Index UI and the corresponding publisher reporting API routes.For more information, see Publisher API (Reports).

クライアント監査ログ（CAL）, the レポートAPI, or Index UIへのレポート should replace all reporting use cases from either Domo or the legacy Custom Reports screen.

New Publisher Deal UI and features in the Index UI

The Index UI has a new, simplified process for creating a new deal and features the following new improvements:

Support for Global Placement ID (gpid)

Index Prebid.js adapter updates

We have released the following updates to the Index Prebid.js adapter:

  • Added support for COPPA privacy framework.We are now able to ingest COPPA compliance information that is passed to us from Prebid.js.

  • We are now reading the dealID field from a new location that provides faster processing and improved load balancing.

Publishers must upgrade their Prebid.js to the latest version for these changes to take effect.

Updated UUID format

Updated bid request endpoint for Index's video bidder

We have a new bid request URL for Index Exchange (Index)'s video bidder: http://instream.casalemedia.com and https://instream.casalemedia.com.This new URL provides an improved load balancing system, which can support larger volumes of traffic with faster response times.

New look and feel to the legacy Index UI UI

The legacy Index UI UI has a new look and feel that matches the new Index UI UI.It features a new side navigation menu that replaces the old top navigation menu, and theme updates such as font and colors.

The legacy Index UI also has new navigation paths to perform the following tasks:

  • Managing your IX Library™ can now be done under IX Library.

  • Creating and managing deals, and viewing the Deal Section Allocation report can now be done under Private Market.

  • Viewing campaigns and managing blocks can now be done under Blocks & Campaigns.
