You can edit a segment to update its name and attributes or manage permissions. The segment IDs and data distributor can't be changed after the segment is registered.
Note: If you want to change permissions for multiple segments, you can do this in bulk instead of editing each segment individually. For more information, see Edit multiple segments.
Enter your email address and password to log in to the Index UI
The Index UI at app.indexexchange.com that allows you to manage integration settings, such as inventory, campaign, and deal settings. at app.indexexchange.com.If you have more than one account, select the account that you want to access.
- Go to Segments.
- Search for the segment that you want to edit. Use FILTERS to narrow results. For more information about how to use search and filters, see Find specific segments.
- Click the name of the segment that you want to edit.
- Click EDIT.
- Make changes as needed.
Task Description Update general settings and attributes
Change the segment's name, description, and attributes. The segment IDs and data distributor can't be updated. For more information about each field, see Register your own segments for targeting in Marketplace Packages.
Update permissions and fees
Change the segment's permissions to add partners that can see and use this segment. Keep your segment private for your own use. Change permissions only if you want to share your segment with specific partners. For more information about each field, see Register your own segments for targeting in Marketplace Packages.
Note: Do not select Public. Setting a segment to public makes it available to all partners, which is not recommended when targeting your own segments in a Marketplace Package.
- Click SAVE.
