Targeting custom key values in deals using inventory groups (Beta)
In addition to the default targeting options you already have available, you can also target your own custom key values in your deals if your configuration meets the following requirements:
- You have integrated with Index using a Prebid.js An open-source library for publishers to implement header bidding on their websites and manage multiple header bidding partners. or OpenRTB An open industry standard for communication between buyers and sellers of online advertising in real-time bidding auctions. It's published by the IAB. integration.
Note: Prebid.js version 7.19 or later is recommended. Older versions of Prebid.js are supported, however bid requests containing larger payloads may be truncated due to length limitations.
- For Prebid.js integrations, you have followed the Prebid FPD instructions to set up your key values that you want to pass to Index.
- You are passing the key values in the following OpenRTB fields:
- user.data
- user.ext.data
- site.content.data
- site.ext.data
- app.content.data
- app.ext.data
- imp.ext.data (OpenRTB integrations and Prebid.js 7.46 and later)
-
Custom key values are being passed as strings or arrays of strings. This applies to all targeting key locations. Any types outside of these will be ignored in the bid request An OpenRTB request that is sent from a supply-side platform (SSP) or ad exchange to the DSP requesting a bid response for potential impressions. A bid request contains information about the impression that allows the DSP to decide whether to bid on the impression..
